Symphonic Orchestra 2019-2020
Listed below are the materials that all students will need for Symphonic Orchestra this year. Items can be found at reputable music stores in Fort Collins and surrounding areas. Please make sure that students have all items for the beginning of the school year.
For all students:
Three-ring notebook and sheet protectors (preferably non-glare)
Rosin
Violin, viola and cello rosin are pretty much the same, but bass rosin will be different
Rockstops/cello anchors
Pictured is a cello anchor - all cellos and basses will need either a rockstop or cello anchor for their instrument
For all students:
All students need to have a pencil with them at all times
Shoulder Rests
Violins and violas will need these for good posture/holding the instrument
An instrument that works, fits well and has good sound

Choosing an instrument can be difficult, but make sure that the instrument is the correct size, is working correctly and has a good sound

Performance Attire

Concert dress is required – All black this year!

Men – black dress pants, black socks, and black dress shoes, and a black dress shirt.Tie is optional.

Women – black dress pants or skirts (skirt needs to be at or lower than the knee), black dress shoes and black nylons or black socks, black blouse or black dress.
